Told you need a new system? Get a second look first.
A replacement recommendation deserves a clear explanation. We’ll take an independent look at your furnace, boiler, air conditioner, or heat pump and walk you through what we find.
When a second opinion makes sense
- You were told the equipment must be replaced, and you weren’t expecting it
- The recommendation came with pressure to decide the same day
- You didn’t get a clear explanation of what failed or why
- The proposed system is a very different size or type than what you have
- The repair estimate is large and you’d like a fresh look before committing
Quote checklist
Does your quote tell you enough?
A good recommendation should answer a few basic questions. Check what applies to yours and see what to ask next.
Repairable or not, you should understand why.
Equipment age is only one part of the picture. The specific failure, the condition of everything around it, repair history, and how comfortable the home has been all matter.
If replacement is the better path, we’ll explain why and help you size it to the house. If a repair is reasonable, we’ll tell you that too.

What to expect from our visit.
Clear answers, so you can make a good decision.
- 01
We listen first
What you’ve noticed (the sound, the cold room, when it started) is real diagnostic information. We start there.
- 02
We show you what we found
You should understand the problem in plain language, and see it where that’s practical, before deciding anything.
- 03
Options, not pressure
Where there’s a reasonable repair and a replacement path, we lay out both and the trade-offs between them.
- 04
The decision is yours
We’ll give you our honest recommendation. Then you decide, on your timeline, unless safety says otherwise.
